I should only need a few days to repair the wizard tower and build a small cabin. I could do more if I had longer, but this is no permanent homestead – not if I have anything to say about it. It’s strange how quiet today was; it definitely didn’t match up to the excitement that I've come to expect form Barovia. And to think that it has been mere days since I entered this godsforsaken country. Nia has started teaching Ireena thieves cant – I imagine they will spend the rest of the week holed up in the tower, just as they did today. It is clear to me that Nia cares greatly for Ireena. I can’t say I blame her. Even still, I’m going to try to keep my distance from Ireena. Stepping on toes is something that I do fairly often, but it is good to be careful in matters such as these, I think. Not that I have a ton of experience. There’s also the fact that Ireena is in a lot of danger. I will do what I can to make sure that nothing happens to her – but if something does, I don’t want to be too close. I don’t think it will be easy to pull away. It’s only been days – and I’ve said this – but I feel closer to the lot of them than I have anyone, ever. It’s nice in some ways, but it’s a tough situation to be in.
