See [[Waterdeep Dragon Heist|Waterdeep: Dragon Heist]] for more information on the campaign. ## Tarsakh 1490 #### 3 Tarsakh 1490 [[Briar de L'aunaie|Briar]], [[Evaline Rajarn|Evie]], and [[Ruik Dwin'anea|Ruik]] meet. Briar quickly lets it slip that she is the daughter of the famous artificer [[Aurora de L'aunaie]]. Evie and Ruik keep their own secrets – Ruik's secret being that she is a professional thief, Evie's secret being that her soul is trapped inside the hulking suit of armor that she claims she can take off. The three are hired by [[Volothamp Geddarm]] to find [[Floon]], who was mistakenly kidnapped by the [[Black Network]] and then the [[Xanathar's Guild]], both factions thinking that Floon was actually [[Renaer Neverember]]. The party learns that Renaer is the son of the previous Open Lord of [[Waterdeep]], who allegedly stashed away a large embezzled fortune which both factions are after. The party is able to find and rescue Floon from a Xanathar outpost in the sewers. As a reward, Volo gives them the deed to [[Trollskull Tavern|Trollskull Manor]]. #### 4 Tarsakh 1490 The party explores the shops on [[Trollskull Alley]] before going on Volo's tour of Waterdeep with Renaer and Floon. On the tour, they stop by a gambling house – Ruik wins big, Briar doesn't. Thanks to a conversation with Briar, the ghost haunting Trollskull Manor, [[Lif]], becomes friends with the party. Renaer agrees to contact the [[Guilds of Waterdeep|guilds]] about fixing up the manor. Ruik and Briar play cards, and it goes poorly for both of them. #### 5 Tarsakh 1490 Ruik joins the [[Zhentarim]] on invitation by [[Davil Starsong]]. Along with Briar and Evie, she also agrees to help [[Force Grey]] after being contacted by [[Vajra Safahr]], though Briar herself only agrees after she is challenged by Ruik. #### 6 Tarsakh 1490 Ruik successfully robs a noble's house. She then takes a job from the Zhentarim and is tasked by [[Skeemo Weirdbottle]] to deliver potions of mind reading to [[Esvele Rosznar]]. As she is about to finish the job, Ruik realizes that Skeemo is secretly attempting to poison Esvele. She cuts the delivery short and keeps the poison, informing [[Yagra]] of Skeemo's treachery. Evie continues to lie in an effort to hide the fact that she is a suit of armor. Suspecting deceit, Ruik searches Evie's room, only learning that Evie likely comes from a noble lineage. [[Broxley Fairkettle]], a member of the [[Fellowship of Innkeepers]], introduces himself to the party and extends his welcome to the would-be tavern owners. #### 7 Tarsakh 1490 Ruik, Briar, and Evie meet local tavern owner [[Emmek Frewn]], quickly discerning that he views them only as competition. The party begins putting plans in place for fixing up the tavern in the manor, meeting with several guilds in the process. Vajra gives the party their first task as probationary members of Force Grey, instructing them to investigate the young dragon who keeps scaring sailors in Waterdeep's harbor. The party effectively completes the job by convincing [[Zelifarn]] to lay low. #### 8 Tarsakh 1490 Ruik, Briar, and Evie turn down an invitation to the [[Order of the Gauntlet]]. That night, Ruik kills the serial-murderer [[Soluun]] as part of a Zhentarim job. She is severely hurt during the fight, which leads Evie and Briar to receive a bloody Ruik back at the manor. Ruik comes clean about her criminal dealings. Briar and Evie make no attempt to stop her or rat her out; they are both very upset with her for lying, however. #### 9 Tarsakh 1490 After the arrest of Davil, the party meets [[Tashlyn Yafeera]] and makes a poor first impression. Still, Briar and Evie are inducted into the Zhentarim, as Tashlyn reasons that they know too much to remain unaffiliated.
